World Pageant Queen, Entertainer, and Advocate: Angel Her

Angel Her from Manitowoc, WI is a class act superstar in her modeling, community service and anti-bullying and anti-domestic violence advocacy as Miss America Nation 2023, formerly Miss Hmong USA America Nation 2022. At only 14 years old, she is a global queen at the Miss & Mr America Nation Pageant organization founded by the owner and CEO Dr. Krystal Okeke Chanchangi. In addition to this, she is currently in 9th grade at Lincoln High School, a supporter of the local DVC InCourge, and an ambassador for Shop Phoenix Glam.

What do you do and why do you do it?

Angel loves being a pageant queen through Miss & Mr America Nation pageant organization founded by the CEO Dr. Krystal Okeke Chanchangi. It’s allowed her to be able to make a stronger impact for causes she’s passionate about, such as being an advocate for the local DVC InCourage and for anti-bullying, because there needs to be more awareness in the world for those women and children who need their assistance. It’s a state funded program that doesn’t receive the adequate funding they need.

As for the anti-bullying Angel feels there aren't enough resources available to young kids and teens. The physical, verbal, and emotional abuse/violence is causing even young children in elementary schools to commit suicide from being bullied.

As for being a model and actress Angel does it because it’s always been a dream of hers to walk in NYFW, Paris FW, walk for Vogue, Gucci, and so many more!

How does what you do benefit others?

What Angel does benefits others in so many ways. By helping advocate for the local DVC InCourage and for anti-bullying, it helps others in the community learn more about and support a life saving cause and resource that is a pillar of salvation for so many locals in need. In regard to anti-bullying advocacy, it’s helping show others in the community that this is a real problem and issue that needs to have change and to be addressed!

Describe your career journey and how it led you to where you are now.

Angel’s career journey all started by applying to be a runway model for a fashion show in Chicago, Illinois. After being accepted to be a runway model for that fashion show, her career took off after that! Angel’s been in numerous magazines including international magazines like Harper’s Bazaar Ukraine & US, as well as GMARO, and many more. She’d wanted to be in a pageant organization for a long time, and came across Miss & Mr America Nation founded by the CEO Dr Krystal Okeke Chanchangi. After researching the organization, she knew she wanted to compete in this pageant organization because of what this pageant organization is about, and stands for. She said she’s been with the Miss & Mr America Nation pageant organization a little over a year now!

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

Angel sees herself doing a lot of new, exciting, and world changing things. For instance she sees herself being a well known famous model walking in Paris fashion week for Vogue, Gucci, Versace, and many more! She also sees herself being a famous actress, being a well known activist for DMV centers all over the United States, as well as for anti-bullying by speaking all around the world. Angel also sees herself in college to further her education to become a neurosurgeon.

Who is your favorite superhero and why? Do you relate to them?

Angel said her superhero would be her mother, Michelle Goessl. She has always shown and taught her to never give up on your goals and dreams in life no matter how many times you get told no, or knocked down by others. Not only that, but Angel said that she has seen and realized how much her mom has tried her hardest to give her and her sister a better life than what she had, never giving up. Despite being told she couldn't accomplish things or wasn’t good enough to be able to do certain things in her life, she cultivated the same resilience that is modeled by her mother.

If you could have one superpower to help you further your purpose, what would it be and why? How would you use it?

Angel would like to have the power of imparting strength to others and help them break free from struggle and strife, because she said that she’s seen her mom struggle so much throughout the years. Nevertheless, she was so strong willed that she never gave up when life as the saying goes “kicked her to the ground” so many times, but she always got back up and it helped her to become a stronger person!
